With ~10 billion people living on the planet by 2050, we need to produce more food in the next 40 years than we have harvested in the past 8,000 years2. In supplying our population’s demands, we will contend with: Environmental Challenges, Social & Political Instability, Limited Resources, Geopolitical Shifts, and Increasing Input Prices. In addition, we must grow in a way that nourishes the land or else all the challenges previously mentioned will become worse.
